US–China Trade Truce in Focus as Trump Meets Xi
President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, will be making his arrival to Beijing this week in a historic summit that is taking place with Xi Jinping. The trip will take place from 13th May to 15th may and the meeting seeks to consolidate a fragile truce after many years of hostile tariffs and an extensive trade war. With his leading corporate executives at his side, President Trump is anticipated to seek significant deals from the Chinese leaders in various sectors such as aviation and agriculture. Both leaders, on their part, will be addressing the issue of global insecurity amid the conflict that is currently taking place in Iran.
